The Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has referred the President’s nominees for ministerial positions to the appointments committee.
The Speaker read a communique from the President in which he submitted the names of persons he wants to appoint as ministers in his new government.
The purpose is to seek Parliament’s prior approval before the appointment. Attached to the letter is a list of thirty persons for ministers and 16 for regional ministers.

He touched on what the President expects of him and how he intends to deliver, especially in the fight against galamsey.
