Speaker vows to drag NDC MPs' who held placards to Privileges Committee

First Deputy Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu has called for the footage of 05/02/2019 proceedings in order to identify persons holding placards.

The directive followed a decision taken by the Minority side led by Member of Parliament for Ketu North, James Klutse Avedzi to challenge his ruling by motion at appropriate time.

Earlier on The Floor, Members of The House were allowed to debate placards raised in The Chamber when MP for Awayaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan was sworn in.

In his ruling after the debate, Joseph Osei Owusu has ordered The Leadership on The Minority side to apologise to the New MP for their conduct but The Minority disagreed, and promised to file a motion to that effect.

In related development, The Speaker ordered MP for Tamale North Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini to leave the chamber for raising his voice during proceeding which he complied.
