The President of TESCON-KNUST Chapter, Collins Nana Baidoo, says the decision to stay away from all activities of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), could affect the fortunes of the Party if it continues to disenfranchise them at its Delegates Conferences.
Nana Baidoo who expressed disappointment at the treatment meted out to TESCON members said portions of the Party’s Constitution relating to elections have to be amended to avoid such unfortunate developments.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Executive Election Committee of the NPP, Peter Mac-Manu has been explaining the issue surrounding the TESCON delegates.
He said it is unfortunate that members were not able to vote, but due to the injunction there was nothing the leadership could have done.
However, steps are being taken to resolve it. Mr. Mac-Manu described the election results as satisfactory, though it was highly competitive.
