Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has challenged Heads of Mission to project the transformational agenda being embarked on by government to investors in their various host countries to attract more investors.
Addressing the Ambassadors at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Heads of Mission Conference at Peduase, Vice President Bawumia expressed optimism that government will deliver on its promises to propel growth.
The 2018 Heads of Mission Conference which focused on leveraging Ghana’s Foreign Policy for national development seeks to equip the Ambassadors with a clearer understanding of economic diplomacy in terms of the national development agenda for interventions among other objectives.
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia said government is focused on making Ghana tge prefered destination for doing business.
This therefore requires the collective effort of all Heads of Mission to propagate the good works of government in their various destinations to make this objective a reality.
He added that the Economic Management Team is ready to relay any necessary information to the Ambassadors to make work easier for them.
For her part, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey urged the missions to put to good use the knowledge gained during the conference to attract the needed investment into the country.
Mrs. Ayorkor Botched also appealed to the Heads of Mission to develop cordial relations among themselves to collectively push governments agenda.
