The 2025 Africa Prosperity Dialogues has open in  Accra. Delivering the keynote address at the Accra International Conference Centre, the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku- Agyemang opined that for Africa to realize the dream of a single market, it must prioritize infrastructural development.

She further stated that by breaking down barriers and creating a single market the African continent can unlock immense opportunities to create jobs for the youth to alleviate poverty for prosperity.

The chosen theme for the third edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues “Delivering Africa’s Single Markets Through Infrastructure, Invest, Connect, Integrate” according to the Vice President  Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is a call to action for all to reset and accelerate Africa’s journey towards integration and shared prosperity.

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang commended the Africa Prosperity Network and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat for creating the platform to bring leaders from both the public and private sectors of the continent to dialogue and find solutions to lasting sustainable development.  

The Chairperson of the 2025 Africa Prosperity Dialogues, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, also called on African leaders to maximize the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) to spur economic growth and create a more competitive single market.

Dr. Zuma urged African leaders to act with urgency in implementing policies that will drive infrastructural development, industrialization and economic integration, ultimately positioning Africa as a global economic power house.

The success of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) depends on seamless connectivity, infrastructure development and policy alignment among member states.
