Political-Social Commentator and Communicator of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Ellen Ama Daaku, says there should be more public education on the Constitution and not only when there is a Constitutional matter in Parliament.

She urged creators of Constitution Day to drive that agenda.

Madam Daaku said many Ghanaians are not well informed on the Day, therefore proper education is needed to propel national development.

”We are not excited about Constitution Day because we are not aware. I believe the public is too aware of exactly the importance of the Constitution. We only hear about the Constitution when there is an argument in Parliament and between the Executive. But a lot of us are not fully aware about the Constitution. Another issue that I’m not happy about is forcing the President to choose 50% of his Ministers from Parliament, that is something we need to look at because it ties the hands of the President”, according to the Political-Social Commentator and Communicator of the NPP, Ellen Ama Daaku.
