President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering unity and inclusivity in Ghana, emphasizing that he is a president for all Ghanaians.
In a speech during his thank you tour in the Central Region on Thursday, February 6, 2025, President Mahama stressed the importance of collective responsibility and collaboration in overcoming the country’s challenges.
“We all share a collective responsibility as we embark on this new journey, Our strength lies in our diversity, and together we will overcome any challenges on our path to progress,” Mahama said.
The president outlined his administration’s commitments, including job creation, especially for young people.
“We will invest in programs and policies that create jobs for our youth, and provide opportunities for our farmers, our entrepreneurs, and our workers,” he promised.
President Mahama also highlighted his government’s 24-hour economy plan, designed to enhance production, productivity, and employment. “We will create an enabling environment for businesses in agri-processing, manufacturing, and construction to employ more people through a three-shift system,” he explained.
In addition, the president emphasized his commitment to infrastructural development, prioritizing critical infrastructure such as roads, schools, healthcare facilities, electrification projects, and clean drinking water.
