Minority MPs throng High Court to support Gyakye Quayson and Ato Forson

On July 6, 2023, a number of NDC MPs and party executives thronged the High Court in Accra for the hearing of criminal proceedings against Assin North MP, James Gyakye Quayson.

The Minority boycotted Parliamentary sitting, but appeared in Court in solidarity with the prosecution of two of their members, Mr Gyakye Quayson and Leader of the Minority, Cassiel Ato Forson, who is also facing criminal charges over the purchase of some ambulances.

Dr. Ato Forson and two others, a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Health, Sylvester Anemana and a Businessman, Richard Jakpa, have been accused of causing financial loss to the State to the tune of 2.37 Million Euros in the deal to purchase some ambulances for the country between 2014 and 2016. 

Some NDC MPs and executives spotted in Court for the trial of Mr Gyakye Quayson include Dr. Ato Forson, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Dr Rashid Pelpuo, James Klutse Avedzi, and Alhaji Collins Dauda.

Others are Oko Vanderpuye, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, James Agalga, Sammy Gyamfi, and Felix Ofosu Kwakye.
