The Head of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) Online and Public Affairs Officer for the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Rebecca Ekpe, has been presented with a customised diary featuring a beautiful picture and name by Jackson IT Solutions.

The presentation in Accra on February 14 was to recognise her role in Ghana’s new media.

In a speech to celebrate Madam Ekpe’s excellence, the CEO of Jackson IT Solutions, located at Tesano in Accra, Jackson Antwi, acknowledged her work.

“I connected with her on social media, and today being National Chocolate Day, I decided to celebrate her.”

Expressing gratitude after receiving the gift, Rebecca Ekpe emphasised the significance of online presence and the new media’s ability to connect people.

“For those of you who are not online, you need to understand that there’s a lot happening online for young people. They are very much present online. For us, the older ones, we are trying to stay connected online. And it’s very important that we move the conversation from offline to online because a lot is happening.”

“There is magic happening online, so for those of you who are not online, you need to understand that there is a lot happening there.”

She also advised her audience to utilise online platforms to promote their products, noting the strong online presence of GBC.

“So if you need anything to share, if you need your product to be out there, if you need to get in touch with people, if you need to make more money, where you need to go is GBC Online.”
