Officials of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, have toured the designated COVID-19 holding centres and health facilities to assess the availability of water for treatment of persons that may be confirmed to have the virus.
The facilities include the Greater Accra Regional Hospital at Ridge, the Tema General Hospital and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The Medical Director at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Sropenyoh revealed that two of the people whose cases were confirmed are in isolation at the facility and are recovering.
The Minister of Sanitation, Cecilia Dapaah asked Dr. Sropenyoh to immediately contact the Ministry when there is any water challenge.
