Sefwi Wiawso government hospital now has an emergency ward. The 1.8 million cedis hospital was constructed by a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Ramus Kwofie as their way of giving back to the community they grew up in.

The 1.8 million cedis emergency ward has a 30-bed capacity for males and females. The facility comes with a mini theatre, doctors’ and nurses’ offices, a pharmacy, and a revenue office. It also has bathrooms and changing rooms. Before this facility, accident and emergency cases were transferred to Bibiani government hospital and the Komfo Anokye hospital in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.

Mr. Ramus Kwofie called on people who are financially sound to lend a helping hand in the development of their various communities since the government cannot do it alone. He adds that this is the only way, we can all live in peace.

It is expected that the opening of the emergency ward at the Sefwi Wiawso government hospital will reduce the number of deaths that occur at the facility. The couple is behind Rancof group of companies.
