Hundreds of New Patriotic Party, NPP, supporters thronged the Party Headquarters as Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia submitted and filed his nomination forms to contest as the Flagbearer.
The Vice President’s forms were received by the NPP Director of Elections, Evans Nimako. The atmosphere at the NPP Party Headquarters was charged amid human and vehicular traffic.
Supporters of the Vice President were clad in branded party color t-shirts with inscriptions “It is possible”, “friends of Bawumia” and “breaking the 8”.
Vice President Bawumia described his decision to lead the party as a huge step to continue with the transformation initiatives that government has embarked upon over the years.
He said it is important to “break the 8” as there is more to be done stressing that Ghana cannot go back.
