The Leader and Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has taken his nationwide campaign tour to the Volta Region beginning from Tuesday, August 13 to Friday, August 16, 2024.

His strategic visit forms part of his commitment to engage directly with the people of Ghana and to outline his transformative vision to rebuild the ‘Ghana We Want Together’ ahead of the December 7th General Elections.

While in the Region, President Mahama will traverse all the eighteen (18) constituencies touching base with the grassroots; engage in retail door-to-door interactions; market-to-market conversations; lorry station-to-lorry station chats; broad-base community mobilizations; and climax the tours with rallies.

Statement issued and signed by the Regional Secretary James Gunu said, “this hands-on approach is more than just a campaign strategy; it reflects President Mahama’s deep understanding of the challenges faced by the ordinary Ghanaian and the need to engage more in his quest to ‘reset Ghana’ and bring it back on the path of decency and economic development”.

The statement further said, Ghanaians and the people of the Volta Region in particular will gain further insights into President Mahama’s game-changer ’24-hour economic policy’; the ‘$10billion BigPush’ infrastructural development agenda and many other pro-poor policies designed to create sustainable jobs for the youth.

“President Mahama’s transformational agenda is rooted in the principles of fairness, inclusivity, and prosperity for all. His policies are designed to rebuild trust in governance, restore dignity in leadership, and deliver on the promise of a better Ghana. We call on all members and supporters of the NDC”, he submitted.

The Regional executives in related development, called on all, as well as all well-meaning Ghanaians to come out in their numbers to meet President Mahama on his rescue mission to the Volta Region, “this is an opportunity to hear first-hand how his servant leadership will usher in the change we all desire a change to inspire hope and restore Ghana to responsible leadership with integrity”.
