Zoomlion disinfects over 100 Senior High Schools in Eastern region

Management of Zoomlion Ghana Limited has disinfected 144 schools in the Eastern Region as part of the ongoing nationwide exercise to eradicate bedbugs in Senior High Schools.

The Company which was contracted by the Ministry of Education has so far disinfected schools in the Central and Ashanti regions.

Director of Communication at Zoom-lion Ghana limited, Emma Akyea-Boakye made this known in an interview with Radio Ghana at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

Headmistress of the Seventh Day Adventist SHS, Mrs. Naomi Abena Nyarkoa Abasi said her school with a population of about 1,860 students has bedbugs as one of its major problems. The disinfection she believes will help address the problem in the school. Headmistress of Pope Johns Senior High and Minor Seminary, Mrs. Benedicta Foli told Radio Ghana that the disinfection will go a long way to allay fears of students contracting the Coronavirus when school reopens.

Some of the schools which were disinfected are Ghana Senior High School, Pope John Senior High and Minor Seminary, Oti Boateng SHS and New Juaben SHS, Koforidua Senior Technical and SDA Senior High School.
