Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah made his debut for Barcelona B, coming on as a substitute for Noah Darvich in the 74th minute during a 1-1 draw in Spain’s third division on Wednesday.
Issah, who is on loan from Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League, showed confidence and skill in the closing minutes of the game at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. His debut had been delayed due to work permit issues, but he has now spent a few weeks adjusting to life in Spain and training with his new team.
The 18-year-old joins fellow Ghanaian David Oduro, who also debuted for Barcelona B that night, marking an important step for both players in European football.
Issah’s performance against Real Sociedad B has raised hopes that he may earn a starting position in Barcelona B’s next game, where they will play Lugo at home.
Both Issah and Oduro are eager to make the most of these initial chances to secure regular spots on the team.
