Aduana FC have confirmed the return of Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica for his third spell as head coach. The announcement was made on Tuesday, bringing the 53-year-old back to lead the Dormaa-based team.
Cioaba previously coached Aduana in 2011 and during the 2015/2016 season. He now replaces Yaw Acheampong, who was sacked in November following poor results. Acheampong managed only two wins, six draws, and four losses before his dismissal, with his final game being a 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko.
The club expressed excitement about the reappointment, stating on their official X account: “Coach Cioaba is home! Aduana FC is thrilled to welcome coach Cioaba Aristica to the Ogya family. Let’s work together to achieve greatness.”
Aduana Stars are currently struggling in the league, sitting in 14th place, just one point above the relegation zone. The club is hoping Cioaba’s experience will help steer them to safety.
His first challenge will be an away game against Berekum Chelsea, where Aduana will be looking to start their revival under the returning coach.
