Kumasi Asante Kotoko has reached an initial two-year agreement with their former coach Maxwell Konadu for a second spell at the club.
The Porcupine warriors announced the deal with Maxwell Konadu via their official app, Kotoko Express and their official twitter handle.
Maxwell Konadu takes over the club after the sacking of Norwegian coach, Kjetil Zachariasssen in November.
Coach Maxwell Konadu resigned to take the role of an assistant coach in the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars of Ghana after leading Kotoko to Premier League glory in the 2011/12 season.
Speaking to Kotoko Express about his new job, Maxwell Konadu said “I am back and can say that I am very delighted with the development.
I thank the management and the supporters for the confidence shown in me. I will do my best but will ask that the supporters exercise patience as I try to improve the team.”
Maxwell Konadu’s first game in charge will be against favorite rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the President’s Cup which comes off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday 15th December, 2019.
