The Black Galaxies of Ghana secured a 2-0 victory over Togo in an international friendly on Tuesday at the Stade de Kégué in Lome. The match was part of preparations for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Ghana dominated the game, with Albert Amoah of Asante Kotoko scoring the first goal just three minutes into the match. Yakubu Issah added a second in the 27th minute, giving the team a comfortable lead.

Under the guidance of coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the team displayed confidence and a well-organised game plan. The friendly is one of several warm-up matches aimed at preparing the squad for their crucial two-legged tie against Nigeria.

The first leg of the CHAN qualifiers will take place in Ghana on Sunday, December 22, 2024, with the return leg set for Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Nigeria.

Ghana will be hoping to repeat their success from the previous CHAN qualifiers when they eliminated Nigeria on penalties after a 2-2 draw on aggregate. Coach Dramani is focused on fine-tuning his team to ensure they secure a spot in the tournament.
