Beach Soccer AFCON: Black Sharks eliminated after 5-2 loss to Morocco

The Black Sharks faced a challenging match against Morocco in their second game of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign, ultimately succumbing to a 5-2 defeat. This loss followed their opening game against Egypt, where they were also defeated 6-3. The Black Sharks entered the match with hopes of redemption but found themselves outpaced by a formidable Moroccan side.

The match began with Morocco taking an early lead, scoring from the penalty spot with just six minutes left in the first period. The first period ended with Morocco ahead, 1-0. Despite the Black Sharks’ efforts to regain control, Morocco continued to assert their dominance, adding a second goal shortly after the first period concluded. The Ghanaian team struggled to find their rhythm against Morocco’s cohesive play.

Ticor Kini provided a glimmer of hope for the Black Sharks, pulling one back with a well-executed goal. However, Morocco quickly responded, netting their third goal to extend their lead. The Moroccan team showcased their skill and tactical prowess, making it difficult for the Black Sharks to mount a comeback. As the game progressed, Morocco scored again, bringing the score to 4-1.

Alexander Adjei managed to find the net for Ghana, reducing the deficit to 4-2. Nevertheless, Morocco’s relentless attack continued, culminating in a fifth goal that sealed their victory. The final whistle blew with Morocco securing a decisive 5-2 win over Ghana.
