The euphoria and anticipation is aromatic in the air ahead of today’s game between Ghana and Madagascar in Kumasi. The Baba Yara Sports Stadium will erupt to its core and come alive as football enthusiasts and loyal fans are expected to fill the stadium to throw their weight behind the twinkle-twinkle stars of Ghana as they hope to begin their World Cup qualifiers on a promising note
Despite losing the love and loyalty of some sections of fans in the country, the players are motivated to put up a good performance and regain the love and support from the fans. Many football-loving fans believe that the poor performance of the Coach, technical team and management team is what has rendered the Black Stars of Ghana its current stagnancy.
Chris Houghton and his boys will count on the 12th man ( the supporters) to cheer them on and Kumasi has always given the Black Stars a warm reception even if they are abysmal and out of shape.
Kumasi has remained a historical fortress for the Black Stars for two decades as they hope to keep their unbeaten streak in the ‘garden city’ intact.
The match will be telecasted on GTV Sports +, GTV, Obonu TV and all GBC’s digital platforms on Friday 17th November, 2023.
