Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has officially declared that he has no intention to return to professional boxing.

The former WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Champion said he wants to step into show business, citing eye problems and old age as reasons for not returning to the ring.

He maintained that it’s time to pass the torch on to his three children, all of whom are engaged in boxing, stating that he has laid the groundwork for them to continue his legacy.

“I’m grown this time. At the same time, my eye is also paining me. I don’t want to fight again because three of my children are fighting. So I have left everything to them.

This time, the comedy, videos, shows, and adverts I use to do for myself,” he revealed in an interview on Okay FM.

Bukom Banku, with just one loss in his career against Bastie Samir six years ago, notably secured an international victory in 2019 with a knockout against Hungarian opponent Ferenc Albert.

Despite signing a lucrative contract with local promotional giant Box Office Promotions, he hasn’t entered the ring since that time.
