The head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa, stated that his team’s primary focus in Cote d’Ivoire is to win the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The current champions of Ghana are ready to play against Morocco’s AS FAR in their inaugural group stage encounter on Monday at the Stade de Laurent Pokou in San Pedro, and it will start at exactly 5 p.m.
The third edition of the CAF Women’s Championship League kicked off during the weekend with Ampem Darkoa Ladies, who became the second Ghanaian team to participate in the final tournament after Hasaacas Ladies finished second in the maiden edition in 2021.
Joe Nana Adarkwa also expressed his confidence during the pre-match press conference and said his team is ever-ready for their first ever appearance in the continental championship.
“We are here to win the cup, and our training is going on very well. We have two (2) teams to play with who have the national team players, so it’s going to be a very tough game,” he said.
