The 46th CAF Ordinary General Assembly is taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Leaders and delegates from football associations across Africa are gathering for this important event.

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba will lead the assembly on 22nd October 2024, which starts at 10:00 AM local time (07:00 GMT) at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel.

This year’s assembly is significant for African football. Delegates from CAF Member Associations, zonal unions, and global football figures are attending. Dr. Motsepe is expected to discuss CAF’s achievements over the past year and share plans for future growth and investment in African football.

The agenda includes the Activity Report for 2023-24, the Financial Report, and the Budget for 2024-25. Discussions will focus on the future of football in Africa, including competition development, governance, and strategic partnerships.

After the assembly, Dr. Motsepe will hold a press conference at 1:00 PM local time (10:00 GMT) to share more updates.

In the days leading up to the assembly, Addis Ababa has been busy with pre-congress meetings, including sessions for zonal unions and the CAF Executive Committee.

This is the second time Ethiopia has hosted the CAF Congress, having previously done so in 2017.
