The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), has expressed its gratitude to Ghana and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for hosting a successful African Women’s Cup of Nations.
Mr. Anthony Baffoe, Deputy General Secretary of CAF, for Football and Development said, CAF was extremely appreciative to Ghana for the effort put into hosting the 11th Biennial AFCON.
“We would like to extend to Ghana FA our congratulations for the excellent organization of the final tournament; Total Women’s AFCON in Ghana.
“CAF would like also to sincerely thank the LOC for hosting such a prestigious event and for all the efforts deployed in order to deliver a successful Women’s Cup of Nations.
The tournament, which started from 17th November to 2nd December, 2018 was hosted in Accra and Cape Coast, with Nigeria, South Africa and Cameroon winning Gold, Bronze and Silver respectively.
