Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has announced his team for the final match for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The senior national team is billed to rake on Central Africa Republic on 7th September at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Coach Chris Hughton’s side were drawn in Group B alongside Madagascar, Angola, and Central Africa in Group E. After 5 round of matches, the Black Stars have managed 2 victories against Angola and Madagascar at 1-0 and 3-0 scorelines respectively. Meanwhile, the 2015 AFCON finalists have shared the spoils thrice with Angola, Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.
The qualification process which started on the June 1, 2023 at the Baba Yara Stadium will end again at the football hub in Ghana. Ghana needs a win to qualify to the biggest football showpiece on the continent.
15 countries have already picked their spots in Cote D’Ivoire including host Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Guinea, Algeria, Mali, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Morocco and defending champions Senegal.
