The African Games started with some good moments on Sunday, March 3, 2024. When it comes to food, some athletes from different parts of the African continent have started enjoying the delicious delicacies Ghana has to offer.

Teams like Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Togo, and the DR Congo are among the countries that have started enjoying this unique Ghanaian culture when it comes to foods. Breakfast, lunch, and supper have all been on the table for these prestigious games.

The Ghanaian food culture has been one of the most respected and appreciated due to the unique display style pumped into it to attract other nations that do not know anything about it.

Teams will have the chance to enjoy the famous Ghana jollof, which has been topping the food list on the African continent. The jollof will normally be served in the afternoon.

The famous Waakye will also be on the table for a bite, which most will prepare to take in the morning. The usual breakfast like tea, porridge, and Tom Brown will be a starter for the athletes and team officials to begin their day.

The three types of dining halls established at the game’s village will provide food and beverages that meet the different needs of the athletes, as the main hall will focus on nutrition to enable athletes to perform well to their maximum abilities during competitions.

The second dining hall, which is the casual hall, will serve as a comfortable space where athletes can enjoy themselves. The third dining hall will play a key role in serving Ghanaian cuisine and other dishes using locally procured products.
