Manchester United icon Denis Law has passed away at the age of 84, as confirmed by his grieving family. The impact Denis Law made on and off the pitch remains an indelible part of Manchester United’s rich tapestry.

“It is with a heavy heart that we tell you our father, Denis Law, has sadly passed away,” the family declared, highlighting the formidable battle he fought against dementia since his diagnosis in December 2021. Law’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who contributed to his care and well-being, emphasising the support and love that fueled his resilience.

Denis Law, fondly remembered by fans as the “King of the Stretford End,” played a transformative role in Manchester United’s history. Sporting his No. 10 shirt from 1962 to 1973, Law achieved legendary status by scoring 237 goals in 404 appearances, playing an instrumental role in the club’s revival after the tragic Munich Air Disaster in 1958.

A pivotal figure, he helped United secure two First Division titles, an FA Cup, and a European Cup, further embellishing his illustrious career by winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or trophy in 1964.
