Fifa appoints normalisation committee to run Ghana Football Association

FIFA has appointed a normalisation committee to run the affairs of the Ghana Football Association until March 31, 2019.
This follows the decision of government to discontinue the liquidation of the Ghana Football Association,GFA.
The mandate of the normalisation committee, according to a statement issued by FIFA, will include running GFA’s daily affairs and cooperating with a special task force to be set up by FIFA the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Government of Ghana.
The statement said the normalisation committee shall be composed of an adequate number of members to be identified by a joint FIFA/CAF mission to be deployed to Ghana.
The committee will act as an electoral body and none of its members will be eligible for any of the open positions in the election.
