To honor the demise of the great football icon Pele, FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced a befitting plan to bid farewell to him.
Speaking on the passing of the man who won three World Cup trophies for Brazil, Infantino revealed a befitting tribute by Member Associations which includes minute silence before games.
“We also going to ask every country in the world to name one of their football stadiums with the name of Pele because in 50 or 100 years from now, when children are asking who was Pele, they need to remember him all over the world,” he said.
Pelé holds a record of 1,281 goals in 1,363 appearances.
