GBC and Accra Hearts of Oak sign sponsorship deal

Ghana’s biggest free to air sports channel, GTV Sports Plus, has signed a partnership deal with Ghana’s biggest and oldest football club, Accra Hearts of Oak.

Dubbed the ‘Hearts of Oak TV Show” this will see GTV Sports Plus show across the continent player’s interviews, lifestyle features forming part of the Phobians’ content.

The partnership forms part of the club’s rebranding efforts to reposition itself as a true champion of Africa and it is expected to give Accra Hearts of Oak supporters the opportunity to see the exclusive activities by their team and also offer a bigger platform for players to be seen across the world.

Hearts were the winners of the 2000 CAF Champions League and 2004 CAF Confederation Cup.

GTV Sports Plus is owned by the state broadcaster, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

In attendance for the signing were the Director-General of GBC Professor Amin Alhasaan, Deputy-Director General of GBC, Mr. Augustus Yamson, Director of TV, Mr. Ebenezer Ampabin, Channel Manager of GTV Sports+, Mr. George Lomotey and Ag Director of Radio, Mr. Yaw Agyepong represented the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and for Hearts of Oak the CEO of the club Frederick Moore, PRO Opare Addo and Commercial Manager Charles Kwarteng.
