The Ghana Football Association (GFA), met the media in Kumasi on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, as part of efforts to improve its strained relationship with the media.
In recent times, the FA hasn’t been on the same page with the media, specifically sports journalists, who go all out to get productive content about the Black Stars for Ghanaians.
In a press briefing on Wednesday, Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku called on the media and the FA to work collectively to bring Ghana football back to its glory days. The FA has been under heavy criticism for their poor showing in the AFCON 2023.
According to Kurt Okraku, the FA will take full responsibility for the poor state of football in Ghana and do everything possible to ensure that football wins again in Ghana. He also urged Ghanaians to continue to support Ghana football.
“The FA is very committed to bringing back the lost glory and the passion of our people. All our publics must stand shoulder to shoulder with us. In good times and bad times, we are ready to listen to other minds. We have to let people speak to us and tell us what they think.
We need the collective effort of all and sundry. We take responsibility as leaders of the association but will count on the collective ideas to continue to transform the sport,” said Kurt Okraku.
