Ghana held by South Africa, as they round up preparations for AFCON

The Black Stars of Ghana completed their pre-tournament preparations with a goalless draw game against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in an international friendly game, at the Police Academy Park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the 2019, Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), in Egypt.

Coach Kwesi Appiah in what looks like his first team in the game, exhibited an impressive performance in the first half and missed two clear chances.

The Stars maintained their dominance in the second half, as coach Appiah introduced Afriyie Acquah and Caleb Ekuban into the game, as well as Jonathan Mensah, Asamoah Gyan and Attamah Larweh but failed to make progress with regards to goals.

The game remained barren till the close of the 90minutes and the Stars are expected in Egypt on Thursday , June 20.

Ghana is housed in Group F with Benin, Guinea Bissau, and defending champions Cameroon.
