The national men’s football team, the Black Stars of Ghana, has missed out on the top ten teams in the latest FIFA ranking.
After failing to impress and progress into the finals of both the African Cup of Nations and World cup respectively, the four times African Champions has once again lost its supremacy from the top ten African men’s team.
Publications made on the official FIFA website indicate that the Black Stars of Ghana has fallen below their West African counterparts, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Mali to be placed 60th on the world by the Coca-Cola FIFA men’s ranking.
The Black Stars went into the Qatar 2022 World Cup as the least ranked team in the world to have qualified placing 59 in the world. Following their abysmal performance, the Black Stars of Ghana are placed 11th on the African continent, with Morocco topping the chart and Sao Tome and Principe falling below the chart.
