Ghana’s Black Stars will play Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a pre-AFCON 2019 international friendly in Abu Dhabi next month.

This was confirmed to the Graphic Sports Online by the head coach of the Black Stars, James Kwasi Appiah, on Thursday.

The game against South Africa is one of two warm-up matches lined up for the four-time African champions during their training camp in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the Stars coach, the two matches are scheduled for June 10 and June 15, while the second opponent is yet to be confirmed.

The South Africans, who won their sole AFCON title as hosts in 1996, are also due to pitch their training camp in Dubai prior to the Egypt 2019 AFCON.

The Black Stars are expected to begin their training camp in Abu Dhabi on June 1 and fly to Egypt for the tournament on June 20.

Ghana will play Benin in the opening Group F match on June 25.
