Ghanaian footballers made headlines over the weekend, delivering impressive performances across various leagues in Europe. From England to Turkey, players showcased their skills, contributing significantly to their teams in crucial matches. Whether it was scoring goals, assisting teammates, or solid defensive displays, the Ghanaian contingent proved their worth in top-flight football.
In the English Premier League, Antoine Semenyo stole the spotlight with his seventh goal of the season, helping Bournemouth secure a resounding 5-0 victory against Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey played an essential role in Arsenal’s narrow 1-0 win over Wolves, reinforcing the Gunners’ title aspirations. Not to be outdone, Jordan Ayew was instrumental for Leicester City, playing 87 minutes in their vital 2-1 triumph over Tottenham.
The Championship saw Darko Gyabi providing a key assist in Plymouth Argyle’s draw against Sunderland, while other Ghanaian talents also made their mark in lower leagues.
