GTV Sports+ has acquired exclusive Free-to-Air Television and Radio Rights of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
The upcoming international multi-sport event is scheduled to commence from Friday to August 8, in Tokyo, Japan.
More than 200 countries are expected to participate in the Olympics which will involve 33 competitions and 339 events to be held across 42 venues.
The Director-General of GBC, Prof Amin Alhassan, expressed GBC’s excitement in being able to broadcast the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
He said the Corporation has invested its content to enable Ghanaians to follow the exploits of their athletes.
Deputy Director of TV, George Lomotey, said GTV will broadcast 6 to 9 hours of fresh Olympic content every day in addition to an hour of a packaged Highlight Show of each day’s events.
He called on Ghanaian businesses to associate their brands with the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
