Hasaacas Ladies emerged victorious in a thrilling match to clinch the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title by narrowly defeating their fierce rivals, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, 2-1 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The game started off with high intensity, and it didn’t take long for Hasaacas Ladies to make their mark. In the 11th minute, Veronica Baa Kumah scored the opening goal, giving her team an early lead and setting the tone for what was to come.

Just three minutes later, in the 14th minute, Mukarama Abdulai doubled the lead for Hasaacas Ladies. Her goal was a brilliant display of skill and precision, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

The two-goal cushion placed Hasaacas Ladies in a commanding position, as they maintained their dominance throughout the first half.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies struggled to find their rhythm as the Hasaacas defence remained resolute and organised.

The second half saw a rejuvenated Ampem Darkoa side, determined to get back into the game. Their persistence paid off in the 73rd minute, when Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored to pull one back for her team.

The goal sparked hope and renewed energy among the Ampem Darkoa players and their supporters.

Despite their efforts to find an equaliser, the Hasaacas Ladies’ defence held firm, thwarting any further attempts on goal.

As the final whistle blew, the Hasaacas Ladies celebrated their hard-fought victory and the prestigious Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League trophy. This triumph not only highlighted their skill and teamwork but also underscored their resilience under pressure.
