Ghana’s Coach, Milovan Rajevac has disclosed he will stay on to lead the Black Stars in the upcoming World Cup qualifying playoffs in March this year.
Ghana put up a poor performance in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to officially bow out of the tournament after an upsetting 3-2 defeat by Comoros on Tuesday in the group stage.
The Black Stars finished the group with one point after 3 matches, losing the opening against Morocco by 1-0 and drawing 1-1 with Gabon in the second game.
The Serbian tactician who claimed to have an unfinished job with the Black Stars despite a poor showing at the AFCON is not stepping down soon.
“I came to this presser expecting questions on the match, not an agenda. I will not resign, because I came here to take Ghana to the World Cup” he added.
“I came to Ghana to qualify the team for the World Cup. That is my primary target. I will stay and lead the team in the March playoffs.” Milovan said.
Ghana would know her opponent in the World Cup play-offs draw when it is held on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
