The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for his proactive role in the investigation of the tragic murder of Nana Pooley. The minister’s remarks come amidst rising public interest and concern over the case, which has gripped the nation and highlighted issues of safety and accountability in sports.

The minister assured the public that the authorities would ensure accountability for all individuals involved in the crime, regardless of their social or political standing. “We will not protect anyone involved in this crime, justice must be served,” he declared.
Kofi Adams’ statements reflect a broader commitment from President Mahama’s administration to address issues of violence and crime, particularly in relation to sports events, which have been marred by tragedies in the past.
