Kumasi Asante Akoto head coach Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh has called on Kotoko fans to forgive him, as he is to blame for the abysmal performances of the Porcupine Warriors in the second round of the Ghana Premier League, which have them winning only two games.

The experienced coach apologised to the fans after Kotoko staged a much-needed victory against Samartex on Sunday, April 21, 2024, to end their seven-game winless streak in the league, admitting that they caused the vibrant fans of Kotoko pain in that seven-game span.

“Sorry for causing you a lot of pain and letting you down along the line, but you are the same people who can bring us up. On behalf of the technical team, playing body, and IMC, I say thank you. None can be compared to you,” said Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh.

Despite all the ups and downs, Kotoko still hold their heads up to give a better account of themselves before the league draws its curtains to a close as they gradually push up the standings to avoid any upset that will land them in the relegation zone.

Kotoko will be hoping to build on their performances against Premier League champions Medeama SC on Matchday 28 in order to keep the momentum alive moving forward.
