Kotoko submit squad for Confederation Cup competition

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have submitted their 25-man squad for the 2018/19 Confederation of Africa football (CAF) Confederation Cup competition.

Kotoko submitted their list on Wednesday, October 31, the deadline set by CAF, after the decision by the Ghana Football Association Normalisation Committee to grant them the permission to participate in next the competition.

The Porcupine Warriors made eight new additions to their squad which includes Maxwell Baakoh, Kwame Bonsu, Naby Laby Keita, Martin Antwi, Ismail Abdul Ganiu, Umar Bashiru, Abass Mohammed and Yaw Frimpong.

Charles K. Akunnor, head coach of Kotoko, who has been tasked to do well in the competition having been granted the free hand to recruit players.

Below is the full 25-man squad; Goalkeepers: Felix Annan, Osei Kwame, Danlad Ibrahim.

Defenders: Amos Frimpong, Augustine Sefah, Yaw Frimpong, Abdul Ismail Ganiu, Daniel Darkwah, Wahab Adams, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Abass Mohammed.

Midfielders: Richard Senanu, Prince Acquah, Jordan Opoku, Stephen Nyarko, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Kwame Boahene, Maxwell Baako, Umar Bashiru, Kwame Bonsu, Martin Antwi.

Forwards: Songne Yacouba, Obed Owusu, Frederick Boateng, Naby Laby Keita

Kokoko would kick start their campaign on November 27, 2018 with the preliminary round opponents yet to be announced.
