Make Ghana football industry attractive to investors -Ranking member tells normalization committee

A ranking member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth and Culture, Mensah Woyome has charged the incoming The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, (FIFA) and Confederation of African Football, (CAF) normalization committee to make the Ghanaian football industry a glamorous one which will lure business men to invest in the sector.

FIFA and CAF normalization committee was unveiled on Saturday comprising of former liaison committee member as President, Lucy Quist Vice President,  Naa Odofoley Nartey a member and Lawyer Dua Adonteng.

Their duty will be to see the day to day activities of the local football governing body and other stipulated issues.

Ghana football was plunged into disarray after an investigation piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas excavated huge rot and corruption at the GFA implicating top officials and referees.

This subsequently led to the abrupt end of the ongoing 2017/18 premier league season and every football related activities in Ghana.

As the normalization committee is anticipated to bring normalcy to the dissipated Ghana football in the last four months, Mensah Woyome who is also the parliamentary member of South Tongu, is of the view that the work of the members of the Committee must be one that will revive the entertainment and business for Ghanaians to enjoy.

”I would like to see the pedigree of the individuals who have been nominated and i expect that their work will see to bring together football back for Ghanaians to enjoy the entertainment and business aspects so that the youth who will participate in it will take it up as a profession”.

The work of the normalization committee is suppose to last for a period of six months.
