The defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, Medeama SC, secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Nsoatreman FC in an intense clash on Match Day 9 at Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
In a fiercely contested first half, both teams struggled to find the back of the net, despite the Tarkwa-based side creating numerous threats against the visitors.
Nsoatreman FC, considered a formidable opponent, couldn’t maintain their ground until full time. In the 55th minute, Medeama SC was awarded a penalty, which Jonathan Sowah confidently converted, ensuring their victory over Nsoatreman FC.
As Medeama SC prepare for their upcoming CAF Champions League fixtures, this victory propels them to the 3rd position on the league table. Nsoatreman FC, whom they defeated, now share the same points on the table with Medeama SC.
