Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has stated that he does not discriminate among players whom he coaches.

According to Coach Addo, all players are equal irrespective of where they are coming from.

His comments follow a purported preference for foreign based players over locally based players in the Black Stars team.

“I have been watching videos of some games and they made good impressions so for me it’s also important to see them live in training nothing else. Once you are on the pitch, I don’t care who is local and who is not, big or small. It’s the performance which will decide who is good. Surely, some players are always be ahead because experience players will show and those who are leading the Ghana National team,” he said in a CAF-mandated press conference on Tuesday.

Returnees Mubarak Wakasso, Jonathan Mensah, and Kamaldeen Sulemana are ready to contribute their quota towards the success of the team.

The three players have not played for the Black Stars since the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year.

Accra Hearts of Oak’s Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah have also been included in coach Otto Addo’s squad.

Alidu Seidu, Antoine Semenyo and Augustine Okrah have earned their debut call-ups in the team.
