Sprite Ball Championship: Mfantsipim and Kumasi Girls stand tall

In a fiercely contested 2 days competition at the El- Wak stadium,  Mfantsipim and Kumasi Girls soared among their collegues in the 13th edition of the championship to cheers from students and old students of the participating schools.
In the Boys Division, Mfantsipim recorded their 5th victory at the Senior High Schools’ basketball competition. The defeated West Africa Senior High School by 35-16 baskets. The Cape Coast based school were marking their 8th appearance in the championship.

For the Girls Division, Kumasi Girls Senior High School retained the trophy from last year. They were all through the tournament. However, it was Mfantseman Girls who reduced their second group score of 43-16 to 22-14. However, that reduction against Kumasi Girls could only get them the runner up position.
Gracing the occasion were the General Manager of Accra Hearts of Mark Noonan, President of the Arm-wrestling Association of Ghana, Charles Osei Asibey, Headmistresses, Headmasters and PE coordinators from various regions.
