Former GFA Vice President George Afriyie blamed the Black Stars’ 2-0 loss to Sudan on poor planning and preparation.
The match took place at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya, and Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco are now uncertain, with just two points from four games.
Mr. Afriyie said the Ghana Football Association, the technical team, and the Management Committee failed to plan well, which led to the defeat. He expressed his confusion over why Ghana might not qualify for a 24-team tournament, emphasizing the need for better preparation.
Ghana is currently in third place with two points and will play their final qualifiers against Niger and Angola. To qualify, they must win these games and hope Sudan loses their last two matches.
