Tanzania and South Africa win CAF African Schools Football Championship

An exciting and memorable CAF African Schools Football Championship came to a close on Friday, May 24, 2024, in Zanzibar, with Tanzania and South Africa grabbing the ultimate prize to climax their incredible performances in the tournament.

The tournament, which only went on for four days, saw some great and talented young athletes competing and showcasing their skills in a spectacular manner, depicting how great Africa is when it comes to discovering and nurturing talent for the future.

African youth football took a magnificent turn as the final day of the tournament saw the Amaan Stadium being packed with fans who came to support the wonderful and inspiring players, whose talent and passion for football have taken a huge hit since the tournament began.

The final day hosted both the boys and girls finals, whereby host nation Tanzania defeated Guinea in the boys division to clinch the trophy as they were named champions of the boys division. On the flip side, South Africa took charge of matters as they beat Morocco to win the girls division. 

The CAF African Schools Football Championship delivered as expected, with numerous talents emerging as it continues to develop and grow African youth football moving forward.
