Arsenal and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has suffered another setback which will keep him out from action for the rest of 2023.

Partey has been suffering with injuries in the last few months sidelining him for big games.

Partey’s last game for Arsenal was against Manchester City where he played a key role in helping the gunners beat City coming off the bench.

The 30-year-old might miss next year’s African Cup of Nations if his recovery doesn’t take a big turn. Thomas Partey is a vital part of the National team and also the vice-captain.

In a press conference today ahead of Arsenal’s game against newly promoted side Burnley, Arteta made some comments on the current injury situation of Thomas Partey.

“Hopefully it’s going to be weeks and not months and he’s working towards that. He needs support. Hopefully, the injury will heal in the right way and we’ll have him back because he is a big player for us”; said Arteta.

This current injury puts Partey on the verge of missing league games against Burnley, Brentford, Wolves, Luton Town, Aston Villa, and Liverpool among a host of other games.

He has already been ruled out for Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
