The Chef De Mission for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023, Mr. Ernest Danso has described the decision to add sports to the upcoming sixth Volta Trade and Investment Fair as an “amazing” initiative by the organizers.

He is hopeful the addition will attract and be recognized as far as reaching a sports festival status is concerned.

He added that the Region’s penchant for sports attraction was being recognized and should become an area of focus for parents and stakeholders.

Mr. Danso said this when he paid a visit to the Volta Region as the Guest of Honor for the maiden Volta Fair Corporate Fun Games held at the Ho Technical University Park in Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

“It is amazing, wonderful, this is something that I want us to look into the future and I am going to be part of it.”

“Let’s have enough plan and awareness to get people to come like some sort of festival, that thing everybody wants to come for, sports unites people, I love and welcome it. Let’s have something for the kids as well.” Mr. Danso said.

The Corporate Fun Games which attracted several staff from various institutions saw the Regional Minister, Dr. Yao Achibald Letsa, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Divine Bosson, Managers of Participating Institutions, and other dignitaries in attendance.

The newly introduced branch of Cal Bank which is less than a year old in the region won the most medals at Corporate Fun Games competing with other institutions such as the GCB, Airtel Tigo, Starlife Insurance, the 66 Artillery Regiment, VRCC, and Adonai Estates.

The institutions used the events to network and fraternize.
