Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Benjamin Asare is reportedly attracting interest from Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca and three unnamed French clubs, as speculation over his future intensifies.

Asare will become a free agent in June 2025, making him a potential bargain signing for European and African clubs seeking a reliable goalkeeper.

His growing reputation has been boosted by impressive performances for the Ghana national team. He made his Black Stars debut in a 5-0 victory against Chad and followed up with another solid display against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, keeping clean sheets in both matches.

Ghana coach Otto Addo has since endorsed Asare as the country’s new first-choice goalkeeper, ahead of long-time number one Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Jojo Wollacott.

Formerly of Great Olympics, Asare joined Hearts of Oak in 2024 and has earned plaudits for his commanding presence in goal. His performances in the Ghana Premier League and on the international stage have made him one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in West Africa.

Raja Casablanca, one of the most successful clubs in African football history, is reportedly leading the race for Asare’s signature. The Moroccan giants are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League campaign. Meanwhile, the three unnamed French clubs are also believed to be monitoring Asare’s situation closely, with a view to making a move for him in the summer.

Asare’s future is likely to be a major talking point in the coming weeks and months. With his contract set to expire in June, Hearts of Oak will be eager to tie him down to a new deal or risk losing him for free. However, with interest from top clubs in Africa and Europe, Asare may be tempted to explore new opportunities and take his career to the next level.
